An Exclusive Gathering of Industry Leaders
On 28th December 2024, at the distinguished Radisson Hotel in Delhi NCR, the Delhi Brush Manufacturers Association (DBMA) hosted its prestigious annual seminar. A Government of India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry-facilitated, invite-only organization, DBMA unites India’s and the world’s leading stakeholders from the brush and brush material industry — including manufacturers of brushes (paint, industrial, technical, and more), natural and synthetic bristle and fibre producers, component suppliers, and allied traders. With a strict criterion for membership, DBMA comprises only select, trusted names that actively shape the health, ethics, sustainability, and commercial prosperity of the brush industry.

Purpose and Impact
Each year, this flagship convention brings together veteran players and new entrants to collaboratively discuss market dynamics, policy implications, ethical sourcing, innovation, and sustainability. It provides a proactive platform to identify business opportunities, mitigate industry risks, streamline raw material supply and demand, and foster global trade with integrity. The DBMA also functions as a formal bridge between the government and industry members, allowing stakeholders to share concerns, recommendations, and insights to help shape policy decisions in favour of sustainable industrial growth.

Stallone’s Continued Leadership and Legacy
Representing Stallone was our Director, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jain, a long-standing and respected voice in the global brush materials sector. As the world’s largest manufacturer and exporter of Indian natural boar and pig bristle, Stallone plays a crucial role not only in global markets but also in maintaining a responsible and ethical balance within the domestic industry.
Our company’s legacy in India began decades ago under the visionary leadership of our founder, Sir Naresh Chand Jain — widely respected as the original "King of Boar Bristle." At a time when quality control and ethical sourcing were largely neglected by the industry, he pioneered a rigorous and uncompromising approach to quality, sustainability, and fair practice. His dedication still echoes in our every action, and many senior members of the DBMA who had the privilege of working with him fondly recalled his unmatched contribution to the trade during the event.

Mr. Sanjeev’s Address: Balancing Global Demand with Domestic Support
As expected, Mr. Sanjeev was invited to take the podium to address a key concern among members — the sharp increase in raw material procurement led by Stallone’s export leadership and its potential effect on domestic bristle availability and pricing. With Stallone accounting for over 85% of natural bristle raw material purchases in the Indian market, our actions undeniably influence supply-demand dynamics.
However, in his address, Mr. Sanjeev confidently reaffirmed Stallone’s commitment to protecting the interests of Indian brushmakers. He acknowledged the implications of high-volume procurement while emphasizing our long-standing support to domestic clients by supplying premium bristle at competitive prices, ensuring they continue to thrive despite evolving market challenges.
Mr. Sanjeev also encouraged members to explore alternative cost-effective and high-performing fibre options. In a heartfelt gesture of goodwill, he introduced a promising synthetic filament developed by his long-time mentor and respected veteran in the synthetic fibre trade — a product that mimics the look and performance of natural bristle while offering price advantages.

Industry Voices and Collaborative Vision
The podium also welcomed other renowned stakeholders, including brushmakers, fibre suppliers, and component manufacturers. They shared their perspectives on industry trends, raw material market behaviour, upcoming regulatory changes, and the global outlook. Notably, members also discussed preparations for an upcoming international business expo that aims to showcase the collective strength and innovation of India’s brush industry. The format, location, and timeline of the expo were key topics of discussion.

A Night of Camaraderie and Collaboration
Following the day-long seminar, members gathered for an informal dinner and drinks session on the rooftop of the Radisson Hotel, further strengthening bonds in an atmosphere of mutual respect and shared ambition.
