How Italy Became a Pivotal Stage in the Rise of Indian Natural Bristle
Italy marked the next chapter in Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jain’s 2019 European business tour — a country that holds deep strategic and emotional significance in Stallone’s journey.
While Germany was where Indian natural boar/pig bristle first entered the European market, it was in Italy that it truly flourished — embraced by visionary brushmakers who helped propel it to global acclaim.
From our Calcutta Extra Stiff Bristle to the globally trusted Extra Stiff Root Cut and versatile Indian Natural Boar/Hog Bristle, Italian clients were among the first to recognise the unmatched strength, bold aesthetics, and high-performance quality of our offerings — proudly showcasing them to the world.
What began as an ambitious uphill mission in a market long dominated by Chinese Chungking bristle soon became a defining milestone — powered by our Director’s unwavering resolve and the remarkable openness of Italy’s finest brushmakers. Today, Stallone proudly leads the world in Indian natural bristle manufacturing and exports.
Italy also holds personal meaning for our Director. With its deep-rooted values of family, tradition, and heritage, the country mirrors our own ethos — a connection beautifully reflected in our name, Stallone, chosen by our founder Sir Naresh Chand Jain as a tribute to his son’s childhood admiration for the iconic Sylvester Stallone.

Partnering with a Global Brush Material Leader: Building Trust Beyond Bristle
The first stop on Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jain’s Italy tour was a meaningful visit to one of Stallone’s oldest and most cherished clients — a globally renowned supplier and distributor of premium brush materials, including natural bristle, synthetic filaments, and wire.

This client has long sourced Stallone’s Extra Stiff Boar/Pig Bristle – Root Cut, praised for its unrivalled strength, precision cut, and stiffness, as well as our highly versatile Indian Natural Boar/Hog Bristle, valued for its natural colour, smooth finish, and broad application potential across brush categories. These bristles are in turn supplied to an esteemed clientele of leading brushmakers across the world, making this client an instrumental ally in Stallone’s global distribution network.

The reception was, as always, heartfelt and gracious. Mr. Sanjeev was warmly welcomed by the entire team — including the humble and courteous Director, the warm and thoughtful Operations Manager, and other familiar faces who’ve become almost like family over the years. During the visit, Mr. Sanjeev also had the pleasure of meeting members of the Director’s family — a personal highlight that deepened the connection beyond business.
The discussion covered key operational topics: feedback on previous shipments, exploration of new bristle variants developed by Stallone, and bespoke customizations tailored to the needs of the client’s customers. The meeting concluded on a positive and productive note, with Mr. Sanjeev reaffirming his personal commitment to upholding quality and reliability, ensuring Stallone continues to meet the exacting standards of this prestigious partner.

Craftsmanship & Kinship: Visiting Italy’s Heritage Hairbrush Maker
Our Director Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jain was especially eager to meet this long-standing client — a respected heritage brushmaker in Italy, known for decades of crafting high-performance hairbrushes with a legacy of elegance, precision, and craftsmanship. Much like Mr. Sanjeev, the client brings deep technical expertise to every aspect of brush production, reflecting the dedication of a true artisan.

While their relationship began as a standard business collaboration, it steadily evolved into something deeply respectful and heartfelt, rooted in shared values, mutual warmth, and a common pursuit of excellence.
A loyal user of Stallone’s Extra Stiff Boar/Pig Bristle Root Cut — praised for its precision cut and bold finish — and the Indian Natural Boar/Hog Bristle, known for its durability, smooth texture, and versatile applications, the client welcomed Mr. Sanjeev with great enthusiasm. He also introduced him to his dedicated team, including his ambitious and kind son-in-law, who left a positive impression on our Director.

The business discussions were both insightful and extensive, especially as this marked their first face-to-face meeting after years of successful cooperation. The client offered detailed feedback on past shipments and shared his evolving requirements for even more refined and differentiated bristle qualities. Mr. Sanjeev attentively noted these insights and, guided by his years of hands-on expertise, assured the client of delivering results that exceed expectations.
Following the meeting, the client extended a gracious invitation to lunch, where both exchanged personal stories and reflections — further deepening the human connection behind the business. As a thoughtful gesture, the client's son-in-law personally dropped Mr. Sanjeev back to his hotel, bringing the memorable visit to a warm close.
To this day, Mr. Sanjeev recalls this meeting as one of the most meaningful and enriching moments in the Italian tour. In his words: “We work with many large corporations, but it’s these family-driven, culturally rooted brushmakers who remind us what our work truly means.”

A Meeting of Masters: Collaborating with a 150-Year Luxury Brush Icon
The final client visit in Italy brought Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jain to the premises of an eminent luxury brushmaker, celebrated for a heritage that spans over 150 years. A true pioneer in the Italian brushmaking industry, this distinguished client has helped elevate Italy to global prominence as a leading source of premium grooming and styling brushes, trusted by discerning customers who value performance, elegance, and historical excellence.

It is a mark of great pride for Stallone to be part of this client’s prestigious journey, serving as their trusted supplier of premium natural bristle — including our Calcutta Extra Stiff Boar/Pig Bristle and Extra Stiff Boar/Pig Bristle Root Cut. These bristle types carry their own legacies, perfected over decades through the dedication of our founder, director, and team of skilled bristle craftsmen.
Though the meeting was brief due to the client’s tightly packed schedule, it was marked by depth, rigour, and mutual professional respect. Mr. Sanjeev had the pleasure of engaging with the client’s highly resourceful Head of Purchasing, her team, and the company’s venerable Director himself — a moment he continues to describe as an honour and privilege.
Business discussions were focused and highly collaborative, reflecting the client’s unwavering commitment to quality. Mr. Sanjeev attentively addressed their concerns, shared technical insights into Stallone’s ethical sourcing, manufacturing innovations, and quality assurance protocols, and received valuable feedback for further refinement.

For Mr. Sanjeev, the visit offered more than just business — it was an opportunity to engage with a brushmaker that exemplifies how legacy and innovation can harmoniously coexist. Unlike many legacy brands that rest on reputation alone, this client continues to lead from the front, adapting and evolving while never compromising on the values that define them.
🇮🇹 Travel & Culture: A Return to Italy’s Timeless Charm

Beyond the extensive yet enjoyable business visits, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jain took time to revisit the beautiful sights and nostalgic memories of Italy — this time exploring Milan, Venice, and Bologna.
Having previously visited Italy’s southern regions — Rome and Naples — on a past business tour to meet clients in heritage nautical instruments and premium handcrafted décor, this journey offered an entirely different yet equally captivating experience.
